Room No11 on the first floor of property , fully renovated and with a private balcony overlooking the old Venetian port, offers a view unrivaled by any other room in our collection. This unique room features in duplex room , on the up level has double bed, as well as two single beds positioned side by side on a loft area within the room. Additionally, it is equipped with a TV, AC, fridge, telephone, and a bathroom/WC, all complemented by wooden floors. While this room is spacious and filled with natural light, please note that it may not always be quiet due to the lively nightlife of the harbor, especially during the weekends.

Suite No. 6 is situated on the first floor, directly above the Amphora restaurant, offering a prime location facing the bustling port. This grants the suite the best harbor view from a private balcony, where guests can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere below. Inside, you'll find a bathroom/WC, air conditioning, TV, telephone, and a fridge. Sleeping arrangements include one large four-poster double bed and one single bed. This light-filled room boasts a lot of windows and elegant wooden floors, creating a welcoming ambiance for guests to relax and enjoy their stay. It's important to note that during the high season and weekends, it may not be as quiet due to the lively nightlife, including bars and taverns, particularly popular among young people.

Welcome! If you like old, historical and picturesque houses, then come, be our guest at the AMPHORA hotel. Built in the 14th century, our hotel has Venetian and Turkish influences.
Our renovations and furnishings were designed for your comfort and well being. The lovely old town and harbour and the beautiful view will contribute to your relaxation and enjoyment.
You can start your day in the cosy atmosphere of our breakfast room with a delicious breakfast including homemade preserves and freshly pressed orange juice.
Our beautiful roof gardens, full of flowers and greenery, are furnished with tables and chairs. If you like, you can take your breakfast, lunch, or dinner up there on a tray and enjoy the peace and quiet.
At the reception desk (open from 07:30am-22:00pm) we could help you with excursions to different places, tickets for the Samaria Gorge and laundry services, also with car rental offices.
Overlooking the calm harbour waters, our restaurant, located in the basement of the hotel, offers excellent Cretan specialities, blending local tradition with genuine hospitality. The spacious setting ensures quick seating, with no reservation required unless for large groups.

Parking area is about 5 min. walking distance from the hotel-free parking area-but don’t enter the “ONLY RESIDENTS” area, there it is forbidden to park!

Staff helpful in arranging your days including very reasonable car rental. Breakfast cooked at 7:30, cold if you come later and, deceptively, if you book a room with breakfast you only get one day's breakfasts included, not every day. You will be charged on leaving. It is the best location in Chania; on the old harbor but near enough to outskirts of old town so getting there and/or meeting a cab isn't onerous. Restaurant is outstanding. Samwell at reception was attentive to all of our inquiries and very friendly. Property is beautiful and room was spacious and well kept.
